Well, this is still work in progress, but here goes. More pictures will be added as things progress.

The point of this project was to take a full size ATX PC motherboard and fit it into a Mac Pro case - not the easiest thing to do in the world - I can tell you. But also to keep the case looking as stock as I could.

The motherboard of choice was the Asus P5E3 X48 board shown here. Nice board with excellent overclocking facilities.

This motherboard also has the new Asus Express Gate. This boots to a browser in about 5 seconds without you booting the operating system.

Here is the Stainless Steel Back plate that I fabricated for the IO panel on the back of mt Mac Pro case.

And here it is fitted into position. I used a dremmel to cut the hole in the case.

Here is a pic of the base cover I made to clean up the hole on the bottom of the case. It is held on by CAP HEAD hex bolts to give that authentic Apple look.
